Canine massage is a gentle, non-invasive, drug-free therapy designed to enhance your dog's quality of life. It positively impacts every system of the body by reducing stress, increasing flexibility and movement, reducing muscle tension, promoting healing, and improving overall well-being and quality of life.

As with humans, the powerful touch of massage can greatly benefit dogs of all sizes, ages and activity levels. Studies have shown that consistent massage will enhance your dog's comfort, emotional stability, general fitness and overall health.

For Older/Recovering Dogs: Common problems include pain, muscle stiffness and cramping, reduced muscle tone, arthritis, digestive disorders, and the inability to get adequate exercise. Massage is an important stimulant for dogs in all of these cases. It helps reduce pain, relax tense muscles, increase circulation, muscle tone and flexibility, decrease inflammation, improve mobility, and slow the degenerative process.

For Working/Performance Dogs: The intent of this type of massage is to optimize and/or improve current performance, and prevent injury. Pre-event massage relaxes and stretches muscles, and warms the body by increasing blood flow to muscles. It can also improve focus and mental function. Post-event massage loosens up muscles and joints, and helps to prevent stiffness and soreness. Regular maintenance treatments help to maintain optimal performance.

For Puppies: Behaviorally, massage helps puppies accept being handled; it also improves socialization and increases trust. Physically, massage can ease growth stages, help with blood circulation to those fast growing muscles and bones, and keep growing joints flexible.

For All Dogs: Massage on a regular basis can potentially add years to any dog's life and delay the onset of old age. It is an effective tool to improve the physical, emotional, and mental health of your dog.

By giving the gift of massage, you are rewarding your dog for a lifetime of companionship and friendship.
